The Student Communications Council (SCC) was developed in 2011 on the idea that the Institute could establish a mutually beneficial relationship between professional staff and the student body.
By providing the opportunity for interested students to gain real-world experience under the guidance and supervision of staff from Institute Communications, the SCC can add value to their education and learning experiences. At the same time, the Institute benefits from closer ties to campus and gathers feedback from students for its own work.
The entire campus benefits from the creation and training of communications-oriented students who can serve the needs of campus organizations.
